Not many beaches have a large rock pool, a lagoon on one side and great surf on the other. On top of this, Narrabeen is home to one of Sydney's most iconic surf clubs - home to some of Australia's finest surfers down the years.


There are three kilometres of beachfront between Long Reef in the south and the Narrabeen Lagoon entrance at North Narrabeen. South Narrabeen has many beachfront apartments and is close to Narrabeen's commercial centre.

Yes! There's a lagoon to the west and rock pools on the northern end of the beach as well. The beach is patrolled by the South Narrabeen Surf Life Saving Club during the summer. The surf can be a little bit daunting for small kids as there can be very strong rips and shore breaks.
